Our Vision

The strategy for the site after decommissioning is to maximise its assets, namely land high quality safe storage areas, in order to grow the business for the commercial benefit of the site’s owner, the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority.

There are four broad objectives that sit within this strategy:
  • Continue its Safety First programme
  • Become an NDA flagship site
  • Become a commercial success story
  • Work in partnership with Urenco

One of the most sought-after assets on nuclear licensed sites in the UK is usable space. So, in consultation with our customer the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority and our stakeholders, options are currently being explored for how best to use the substantial amount of space that is available at the end of the decommissioning programme.

Development at the site has the potential to attract inward investment and the potential for new opportunities.
